Come as you are!
To worship at Grace is to attend a party.
WORSHIP
PLEASE NOTE: Worship services are in person at 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
We will continue to have a virtual service at 11:00 am via Zoom for those who cannot attend.
For in-person services, out of consideration for all of our neighbors,
Grace Church is recommending that masks be worn at both services.
9:00 AM TRADITIONAL SERVICE
The 9:00 a.m. service is quiet, contemplative, very relaxed and friendly. Hymnals and bulletins are used for the worship songs and prayers. Healing prayer is offered during communion and kids are welcome to join us or engage in parallel worship in the kids' worship corner.
11:00 AM CONTEMPORARY SERVICE
At the 11:00 a.m. service, everything you need to follow along with worship is projected so that instead of looking down at your prayer book and hymnal, you can focus on worship and use your hands for clapping. Our praise band often has a cellist, a drummer or two, and sometimes a violin. Our choir is open to anyone who wants to sing. Healing prayer is available during communion which occurs every Sunday.
Children & Youth
At the 11:00 a.m. service, there is a children's sermon right after the opening prayer that can involve anything from stilts to party hats, puppets, spontaneous skits or games. All ages of children are invited forward to participate.
Right after the children's sermon, kids (Pre-K to 5th grade) are invited to go to Sunday School,
returning to the sanctuary for communion with their families.
Infants and toddlers are invited to move around and explore in the worship corner with their caregivers in the sanctuary,
or to be dropped off at the nursery area in the gym next door.
Members of the youth group meet every other Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and for special outings and events throughout the year.
Our youth are also active participants in many of our ministries, serving in worship as acolytes and readers,
as assistants in Sunday school, and as members of the hospitality ministry.
Sermons
Rev. Laurie is an energetic and effective preacher who delivers sermons that connect us to the Scriptures through everyday illustrations and narratives. Grace Church is also blessed with a number of lay preachers who each bring their own individual styles in their presentations of the Word of God.

Grace Church Van Vorst Choir
Our choir is a dynamic group of many talents. During the pandemic, the choir continued to virtually meet weekly and to record individually from home with our Music Director editing all the recordings into extraordinary videos which have brought us closer together through worship.
